“Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restrain and fulfilment, harmony between man and nature, a holistic approach to health and well-beings”.
ISE celebrated the International Yoga Day as well as World Music Day on June 21, 2021 virtually with fervour and zeal. The aim of the program was to make the students aware of the various benefits of yoga. This was a great opportunity to imbibe the value of discipline. The program commenced with the welcome speech by our beloved Principal Ms. Geetha Devi R, who addressed the students and the faculty member with her heart-throbbing speech and wished them all to be in the pink of their health always. The welcome address was followed by the lighting of the lamp and an enthralling song by Ms. Gayathri, whom the audience listened in rapt silence. The program proceeded with the displaying of some inspiring and motivational videos which elucidated the idea of yoga being a natural tranquilizer. The most exhilarating part of the program was the various yoga postures such as Surya Namaskar, Vrukshasana, Trikonasana etc presented by our PT instructor Ms. Trivikram who gave a clear idea of yoga being a mental, physical and spiritual practice which energizes our body and mind and needs to be carried everyday. The program was illuminated by the participation of the parents who presented their views upon the healing effects of yoga. Overall the program was a smooth sail which concluded on a happy note with the singing of the National Anthem.
